No Frills Update:
Harris Teeter Milk Caps - In early December, 1100 milk caps were sent in to Harris Teeter. That’s $55 that will come back to our school! Who ever would have thought that we could turn trash into cash?
Campbell’s Soup - a submission of labels worth 3925 points was sent in at the end of 2007. These points will be banked to await future submissions.
Boxtops For Education - our next deadline of February 28th is quickly approaching. I am sorry to report that our numbers are way down from those that were coming in earlier in the year. PLEASE SEND THOSE BOXTOPS IN!

Math Curriculum Night
- Dates: Tracks 1 and 3—January 17th
- Tracks 2 and 4—January 31st
- Time: 6:30-7:30 pm
Goal: To provide parents with a variety of practical activities and
games that can be done with their children at home to reinforce math
skills and concepts taught in school
Format: Families will travel through a variety of math stations where
they can participate in math games, activities, and demonstrations.
Activities will be organized by grade level.
K-2 activities will be located in the cafeteria and 3-5 activities will be located in the media center.
February Informances
All Kindergarten and First Grade Classes will be performing a brief presentation on what they have learned in music class. The Informance will last about 45 minutes. Come join us for a treat. The dates are as follows:
- February 7th at 6:30 p.m. —Tracks 1 and 2
- February 21st at 6:30 p.m. —Tracks 3 and 4
*The General PTA meeting is also set for the following dates:
- February 7th at 6:30 p.m. —Tracks 1 and 2
- February 21st at 6:30 p.m. —Tracks 3 and 4
The meeting will take place right before the Informances.
Book Fair
Our next Book Fair is scheduled for February 11th -19th. More information will be sent home with your student next week. Be on the lookout! Family Night is February 12th at 6pm in the media center. We will have story time and milk and cookies for snack. We are looking for volunteers to work the book fair.
