Spirit Wear order forms will go home Tuesday October 29th.
T-shirt order deadline for Track 2 is November 7th or can be mailed to the school attention PTA.
FINAL DEADLINE FOR ALL ORDERS- November 27th
T-shirts will be delivered to your child on the following dates:
- Track 1 – Dec. 4th
- Tracks 2, 3, and 4 – Dec. 6th
Also available this time, are hooded sweatshirts for both adults and children in GREY for only $25.00.
Water bottles, magnets, and coffee mugs are still available.

Together in Education Night is a fundraiser in which Harris Teeter and the Carolina Hurricanes have set aside discounted tickets for 3 games. The PTA will get back as much as $10.00 per ticket. If you are a CANES fan, please consider purchasing tickets for one of the games. Be on the lookout for the flyer that will be sent home with your child with more details!!
Holly Grove Family Fun Day!
Family Fun Day is quickly approaching. Come join us on November 3rd from 10 am - 2pm. We will have inflatable bounce houses, Officer McGruff, Holly Springs Fire Dept, Amazing Acres Farm, Games, Food and much more!

10 tickets for $5.00 and receive 5 FREE! So please send in your orders today. Please make all checks payable to HGE PTA or if you prefer to pay in cash that works too! Tickets will be returned to your child, so please be on the lookout for them.
The PTA is STILL looking for volunteers to commit just one hour of their time from 9-3pm. If you can give anytime during the day please contact Tracy Edick at hgptafundraising@yahoo.com or 762-1781. We are combining Red Ribbon week and Family Fun Day Week with the following themes:
- Monday October 29th - Wear Red and/ or Dress like your Teacher Day
- Tuesday October 30th - College Day- wear your favorite college attire
- Wednesday October 31st - Hat Day/ Bad Hair Day- wear your favorite hat/ or come to school with a bad hair do
- Thursday November 1st - Backwards Day- wear everything backwards
- Friday November 2nd - School Color Day – wear our school colors (purple and orange)
Kids Voting
Our next election is on November 6, 2007. We will have our HGES volunteers working Kids Voting at Holly Springs Town Hall precinct, but we still need volunteers for all shifts. If anyone would like to volunteer, please contact Noelle Marino at 919-557-5144 or nmarinor@nc.rr.com.
Coats For The Children Campaign
This isn’t a fundraiser for our school or the PTA. This is a charitable activity to help those in great need this winter season. The Salvation Army will be providing a Red Kettle to our school. We are asking students and their families to collect and donate coins, cash, checks, etc. in the kettle during a two-week drive from November 5 – November 16, 2007. We will also be accepting new and gently used winter coats of all sizes to distribute to those in need.
The school that raises the most money during the drive will be invited to WRAL’s studio to present the funds live during the December 14th telethon.
