Holly Grove Family Fun Day is scheduled for Saturday November 3rd 10-2pm. We will have inflatable bounce houses, Officer McGruff will be there, and The Holly Springs Fire Department will have a fire truck to tour. We will have face painting, tattoos, concession stand, and much more. Be on the lookout for more information.
Character Ed Team
The Character Ed Team is looking for parent volunteers to come into the classrooms once a month for 30-40 minutes to watch a movie with the children and then talk to them about the Character trait of the month. They can do their child’s classroom but some classrooms already have volunteers so if they could do other classrooms it would really help. This is a very rewarding experience and the program doesn’t work without volunteers.
Lunch Bunch
Have You Heard About Lunch Bunch? As a part of lunch bunch you will be allowed to take your child and three other children from their class to an area of the school where they can eat their lunches while you read to them.
The kids love it!
You need to be registered as at least a Level 3 volunteer to participate and simply let the teacher know you are coming before you arrive.
Coats for Kids
Fall and Winter are quickly approaching, and we are hoping to collect as many new and gently used coats as we can for Salvation Army’s Coats for Kids program. Our coat drive will take place during the month of October. So as you start pulling out fall and winter clothing, don’t throw away the ones that no longer fit, bring them to our coat drive.
IMPORTANT CAMPBELL’S LABEL NOTICE
Thank you to all of you who are sending in Campbell’s labels. Please remember that last year Campbells changed their requirements for submission. No longer will they accept the front label. We must now send in the UPC and little Campbell’s boy logo - or- the new point label (usually in yellow). If you are unsure of what is needed for submission, please send in the WHOLE label and the PTA will trim down what is acceptable. Thank you again for saving and sending your labels, please keep ‘em coming!!
